History
The Itimad ud Daula is the Tomb of Mirza Ghiyas Beg and his wife. Mirza Ghiyas Beg was Persian and migrant from Iran to India. during the time of second Mughal emperor Akbar and and he was appointed a minister in Mughal court, Mughal emperor Akbar was happy with their services and Mughal Emperor gave Title "Itimad ud Daulah" that means Pillars of State. he was father of Noor Jahan and grandfather of Mumtaz Mahal, who buried in the World famous Taj Mahal.
Mirza Ghiyas Beg was died at Agra in 1622. his daughter Noor Jahan started construction after few months of his father death in 1622 and complete 1628.  it is located on the eastern banks of yamuna river in Agra.  Itimad ud daulah also known as Baby Taj, because it four tower, is same at Taj Mahal.




This is the first tomb in India which built by white Marble and set on the center of "Char Bagh" means four quarters Gardens, it is Symbolic represent Paradise. Itimad ud Daula is the first monument in India, where was "Pietra dura work"  seen in India. this work using Semi Precious stones to make more beautiful walls and other parts of tomb. this work also called inlay work.

Architecture

Itimad ud Daula Tomb is located outskirts of the Agra City at Eastern bank of Yamuna river. this tomb is best planned in center of garden, that called Char Bagh means Four quartered garden. the main Gate of tomb is on Eastern side. once you enter in gate you will see beautiful garden both the sides and between the garden path for other gate. where you will have first look of Tomb. there you will see tomb in center of garden. The Garden divided in four equal Areas and garden full of grass, trees and walkway. it is fully open mausoleum.
there are around nine chambers in the mausoleum and main and in centre chamber. you will see grave of Mirza Ghiyas Beg and his wife.

from Agra fort around 4 km and 20 mins drive
from Taj Mahal around 8 km and 40 mins drive
from Akbar tomb around 11 km and 40 mins drive
